Project

Semiochemical diversity and insect dynamics (funded by FORMAS)

Repellent odours from non-host plants ('non-host volatiles') are important signals during host location by phytophagous insects. By use of electrophysiological recordings, I study how non-host volatiles are perceived by the antenna. In field trapping experiments, I investigate possible habitat-scale effects of these odours.
