Markers for host resistance and host acceptance in aggressive bark beetles.
The cues for host selection in Ips typographus are still unknown. In cooperation with MPI, Jena, Norwegian Forest and Landscape Institute, Ås and Kalmar University we assess differences in the chemical, genetic and phenetic background of attacked and non attacked host trees and put them in the context of plant/insect interactions.
I also work with field applications of forest protection by means of non-host volatiles
